44 Swing in the morning
Any form of exercise in the morning boosts your circulation and sends a signal to your brain that itâs time to wake up and kick into gear. If you havenât got time to work out, the following yoga exercise will help energise you first thing.
Stand with your feet hip-distance apart and swing your arms by your sides. Turn your upper body from side to side, slowly swinging your arms so that they gently slap against your body. Each time you turn, look over the shoulder you are swinging towards and lift the opposite heel. Inhale through your nose as you turn to the front and exhale through your mouth as you swing to the side. Do this for at least 2 minutes. The gentle swinging motion is both relaxing and energising at the same time and can be done whenever you feel stressed or drowsy.
